A down hole sensor (or down hole tool) is an optional piece of equipment that is coupled to the bottom of the motor to provide an operator with bonus information about the well. Sensors can provide information such as bottom hole temperature, motor temperature, bottom hole pressure, pump discharge pressure, motor vibration and cable current leakage. The signal from the sensor "rides" on a DC voltage sent along the three phase motor cable
