A down hole sensor (or down hole tool) is an optional piece of equipment
that is coupled to the bottom of the motor to provide an operator with
bonus information about the well. Sensors can provide information such
as bottom hole temperature, motor temperature, bottom hole pressure, pump
discharge pressure, motor vibration and cable current leakage. The signal
from the sensor "rides" on a DC voltage sent along the three
phase motor cable
