The switchboard houses the equipment that monitors and controls the supply of voltage and current to the motor. Typical components include an isolation switch, motor protection fuses, main contactor, current and voltage monitoring devices and a motor controller. The motor controller is a programmable device used to monitor and protect the system from a wide range of damaging fault conditions.
